The old station building standing across the street from and in the shadow of the new
Union Station in Chicago which I believe at one time was a true expression of my beloved Art Deco esthetic, is now a maze with dead end hallways and fast food emporia. I ended up making two trips to Mickey D’s to use the Wi-Fi. I hate Mickey D’s. The grand waiting area is now used as a private hall. I was able to get a few pictures in the slide show below because they were setting up for some event
The charming river walk above and the first traffic lights I have ever seen on a river on the right.
And, there are always those willing to terrify their passengers on jet skis. This one came remarkably close to making contact with the turning ferry.
